The Worc'n Holiday Party

On a cold December night we met at the Industry Lab to celebrate the Worc'n group and our membership in the cooperatives we belong to. The crowd was very energetic and several small groups were conversing on different topics throughout the evening. A holiday party is a time to see old friends and make new friends.

The CEO of A Yard and a Half Landscaping Cooperative talked about her experiences with their transition from an existing business and all attending shared the similarities and differences of their experiences at the second worker-cooperative meeting Agaric had the honor to host.

New worker cooperative meetup series kicked off

Wow, that was fun. The very first event for the Boston/Cambridge Worker Ownership Meetup group on October 10th, 2014, was a great success. We met at The Industry Lab, Agaric's new co-working headquarters and event location. We had a great discussion that was led by our friend Gonzalo Chomon of EvoVelo, a cooperative located in Spain.

BarCamp9 in Boston - What a trip!

I attended BarCamp9 this year and had a more than wonderful time. The sessions were off the chart, everything from a Public Speaking 101 - Overview & Workshop, to a lecture on Immortality, a GNU/Linux sysadmin introduction, and a lively discussion on the state of mental health in tech, mixed in with Dating for Nerds.

Who are you in the Drupal Community?

As Drupal awareness grows and more people adopt it as a platform, the community becomes more interesting. There are some real characters that have grown to be major contributors to every facet of the beast. How did they evolve and find their place?
