Personal and Family Sites
A personal web site gives you a place on the public web that is permanent, easy to find, and definable by you. Social media sites make it easier to keep up with many people at once, but when looking to make your own mark, your own site is the way to go.
Agaric can help you with a site that's all yours to blog about your thoughts and ideas, and share your creativity and knowledge with the world, or at least your family and friends. Here's how it could work:
Design
First, we'll need to figure out the visual design of your site.
- Start from scratch, or use any of our ready-made website templates.
- Combine elements from different model sites for a unique look that suits you, or draw something out and we'll build it. If visual art is not the way you'll be expressing yourself, give our designers something to go with and we'll come up with something for you.
Included features and functionality
- Customize and update your site with ease, add or delete pages and change text, images, menu-items, links, and more.
- Edit the text right on the page, or replace it by pasting in your own. Add your own images, and blog easily, and it will all fall into place and fit nicely with the design.
Good ideas
- Get your own personal domain (a .com, .net, etc. website address). This looks professional and makes it easy for people to find your site. If you already have a domain, we can show you how to point it to your new site.
- Get email addresses personalized with your domain name: Boost your image by using email branded with your website address... even if you forward it to an e-mail service.
- Allow visitor feedback by adding forms to your website to gather contact and other information from your visitors.
