Built on Drupal 4.7 in order to seamlessly integrate with FreespeechTV's servers and thus share user databases, coanews.org went live with an already thriving group of users and contributors worldwide, that all share a common belief in making mass media better.

An improved visual design, based on a client provided mock-up, is both more appealing to the eye and a multimedia experience right from the start. Dynamically changing thumbnails for featured and recent stories, streaming video content, and RSS news feeds populate the homepage.

By leveraging the full power of Drupal and improving the information workflow, we were able to give administrators the freedom of not having to worry about things like resizing images and logos, or reformatting posts because they are changing status, the site takes care of it all automatically.
