This question is about scholarship / support information for attendees. I note that such efforts do not have to be organized by the DrupalCon Paris organizers, but you will necessarily be a key point of coordination in any case.

Are you aware of any specific attempts at inclusion at DrupalCon Paris? In the European context this can especially mean reaching out to Drupalers in Africa, Asia, Middle East, India etc.

The last DrupalCon already weighted toward sales/vendor people and was missing some people who are arguably community staples (and, in the case of Michelle C, inarguably community staples).

There should be scholarships for students AND for people working with Drupal and involved in the community but not raking in the big bucks. Personally i'd like some organized way to make sure anyone that anyone who spends, say, more than a third of their life in #drupal is offered help toward a ticket.

The only mention scholarship on the 'con site is here -- http://paris2009.drupalcon.org/schedule -- that the proceeds from "Commercial training tracks" are supposed to go to a Scholarship Fund.

I write because I worry that with tickets going on sale so early some people may give up even looking to see if they can get help going if that info isn't there.
