Visualizing and growing diversity in software communities

What if we knew each other a little better and were more likely to collaborate? I recently helped put together an effort to do just that for the Free Software Foundation, and I would love to cross-pollinate and connect it with other communities that have a shared mission and different skills. Noam Chomsky and Richard Stallman - Meeting One

At noon on Wednesday July 22nd, 2015, Richard Stallman (RMS) and Noam Chomsky met for the first time. We sat down to discuss the Free Software Movement, Digital Restrictions Management, then we briefly touched on domain name seizures, workers rights and worker-cooperatives. The atmosphere was jovial yet serious, and the discussion was soon underway.

The crowd was very energetic and several small groups were conversing on different topics throughout the evening. A holiday party is a time to see old friends and make new friends.
